- 2 cups sour milk
- 2 pkg granulated yeast
- ½ cup Fancy Molasses
- ¼ cup lukewarm water
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp salt
- 4 cups unsifted rye or whole wheat flour
- Heat sour milk. Cool to lukewarm and add to yeast which has been softened in lukewarm water. Add Fancy Molasses. Mix dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients. Mix well. Cover and let rise 10 minutes. Kneed 8-10 minutes and place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
