Molasses Butter Frosting


  • 3 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 egg white, unbeaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla, lemon or rum extract
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp. Fancy Molasses
  • 2 tbsp. milk


  1. Add 1 cup confectioner’s sugar, egg white and flavouring to creamed butter or margarine. Mix well. Add remaining confectioner’s sugar alternately with Fancy Molasses and milk. Beat well.
