Fruit and Nut Fudge


  • 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup Fancy Molasses
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • ½ cup nuts (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup raisins or other fruit
  • 1 tsp vanilla


  1. Put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan. Stir until dissolved. Boil over medium heat to 238°F or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Stir in the butter and chocolate. Allow to cool, and then beat until creamy. Add nuts, fruit and vanilla. Pour into an 8" x 4" greased loaf pan. When cool cut into squares.
