Fresh Fruit Sauce


  • ¼ cup Fancy Molasses
  • ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 11 oz can mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 8 oz can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved


  1. In medium saucepan, combine Fancy Molasses, brown sugar and cornstarch. Mix well. Gradually stir in orange juice. Bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 2 tbsp margarine and orange peel and mix well. Carefully stir in fruit. Serve warm fruit sauce over slices of gingerbread.
