Ingredients:
- 3 cups white beans
- ¼ lb. salt pork or bacon
- 1 medium onion
- 1/3 tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. dry mustard
- Water
- 1/3 cup Fancy Molasses
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions:
- Pick beans over and soak overnight. Drain, then add chopped pork, onion, Fancy Molasses, salt, pepper and mustard. Cover with water and bake in a covered bean pot for about 6 hours at 300°F. Add water if beans are dry. Serve hot. For best results on this recipe, use Fancy Molasses. "Lite" molasses is not recommended.
