Graham Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup graham flour or (½ cup whole wheat & ½ rye)
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp Fancy Molasses
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Cut shortening into mixed dry ingredients until the mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal. Add the milk and molasses all at once to the dry ingredients and stir dough for a scant 1 minute. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes until lightly browned.
