I think that apple crisp is one of the greatest recipes ever created. Especially this time of year. (Although I have other favourites apple recipes too.)

And who can resist? With heaping baskets of local apples on display at markets everywhere it’s hard not to stock up on them each fall.

Apples are great for snacking on, but I love baking and cooking with them too. From gingerbread to chicken there are so many delicious ways to enjoy apples (and applesauce and cider) this time of year.

To help you make the most of our local apple harvest we have gathered ten recipes that showcase the delectable combination of molasses and apples in some of our favourite sweet and savoury recipes.

This little e-book is easy to view and download. No e-reader required.

    Grandma Molasses Molasses was a family staple growing up. Both for cooking and just plain enjoying with bread from a saucer…I can’t imagine pancakes without molasses. Thank you for the fall recipes. I hope to enjoy more than one!

    Hi there;
    Made the Cranberry Sauce with Apple recipe for Thanksgiving and we loved it! It will now replace our standard Cranberry Sauce recipe. 🙂
    PS I decreased the amount of sugar to 3/4 cup because we like the sauce a little more tart. It was lovely.
    Thanks, Lorraine

    1. Bridget Oland says:

      Hi Lorraine – Thanks for the tip about reducing the sugar. I’ll make a note of it in the recipe so others who prefer their cranberries more tart will know the sugar can be reduced.
